I've still been meaning to get out to his place just to see what's what. I know he has a reputation on here but I swear that every person I talk to down in the Springs likes his place.

I haven't been back since '99 when he had just a range. The range was a bit of a dump then, and it does not appear to have improved.
A friend of mine keeps a Harley head hanging in his garage that he had worked on there in the late '90s. It gave out on him in 100 miles. He shows it to anyone thinking about having work done by him.
People from the Springs go out there because it is closer than going up the mountain. Much of the clientele is questionable. Kind of a no-questions-asked type of range.

However, his gun collection is quite impressive.

No doubt his gun, grenade, mine, vehicle, memorabilia collection is amazing.

When Clinton started clamping down on the low-volume FFLs ("kitchen table gunsmiths" -- where I got several of my early guns) back in the 90s, he was the go-to guy all the local networks fawned over to to get anti-gun quotes about how we should restrict FFLs. He'd go on and on about how dangerous these small FFLs were, etc.

He was anti-gun in order to better line his pockets (less competition = more profits).

As much as I'd like to see his collection, I'll never give him a dime.

YOU are the first responder. Police, fire and medical are SECOND responders.
When seconds count, the police are mere minutes away...
Gun registration is gun confiscation in slow motion.

Speaking of Vocal during the Clinton years. Remember Paladin Arms in frogmont and Bob Glass AKA the TRT?

Whatever happened to Bob, have heard nothing from him in years.

Nope, care to expand? Probably a combination of me being a noob to firearms back then plus us down in the 'springs (you know, we don't even have roads down here*) we probably didn't hear news from up thar in the big city.

    * Towns so rural, they don't have roads.

    Bob Glass
    Paladin Arms
    Tyranny Response Team

One if his more notable interactions was with Ben Silversmith Campbell on a plane.

I bought my first AR from Paladin back in '98. I didn't really hang around and talk to anyone. Seemed like a cool store with okay prices on everyday ARs.

Still have the receipt. ALL SALES FINAL.
