If you have the option get something with a rechargeable battery. I have a Surefire Peacekeeper and that's my favorite feature. I've saved a lot of CR123's thanks to that.

Looks like Fenix is pretty good about rechargeable options.

I like to abuse and loose stuff. The Solarforce lights fit the bill. $25 for the light (plus battery ~$10).
