My parents were on People's court with Judge Wapner in the 80s. I always wanted to get a copy of their court appearance.

I just read the show paid all judgements, so this was the beginning of everyone gets a trophy. If the defendant was guilty, no consequences.

It's entertainment. And most times, the defendant gets a heaping scoop of embarrassment.
