I used to game A LOT. (PC gamer) I had the rig, the time, etc. Mainly played FPS. I was "one of those guys" that got paid to play (no, it isn't thousands like people believe), hit up by the big names to be a Beta Tester (not as fun as it sounds) and all that jazz. Free merch, etc. For a while, I was the number 3 pilot in the world for BF2 in both fixed wing and whirly birds.... Then, through some tough love, I realized I was addicted. Decided to change. Got married, steady job, and all that jazz. Had a hard time pulling out of it and growing up. That was several years ago...

Now, I might have time to game once every few months for a few hours on a late Saturday night, but it has definitely slowed down a lot. To be honest, I don't miss it at all. Also, to be truthful, it IS fun picking up a controller and pretending like I do NOT know what I'm doing when I school some of my students, HAHAHA.

Hmm, now you got me thinking... back to work!

lol, sounds like we were one of the same. Played HUGE in high school and in college you could say I was addicted. Tournaments online gaming leagues and everything. Got married and all of it went out the window. Well after 10 years of being out of the game, I am finally getting back into things. Wife gives me 1 night a week after dinner, I kiss the kiddos and head to the man cave for a few hours of fun. After talking with a co-worker he explained to me how he was a streamer and would get free merch for "un-boxing" and "shout-outs" to the company, I figured I would give it a try.

The standard shooting range in any FPS game never gets old now. Tumble is a game where all you do is stack blocks, but it's in 3D so it's awesome.

I game on PS4. Mostly FPS games, lately I've been playing Hitman.

Played the Ghost Recon closed beta, typical Ubisoft overpromise, under deliver. Graphics were decent, gameplay was a bit awkward as far as airplane and helicopter controls. Lots of glitches, overall it's another incomplete/unfinished game like The Division. I'll probably buy it after it goes half price. It definitely isn't worth $60.

Also played GTA5, really liked that game. Thought it was very well done with a good story, and lots of things to do.

I was disappointed in Hitman, just wasn't fast enough paced. Rockstar social club tag for GTA is CptRon121.... Look me up!

I got rid of GTA5 to purchase The Division. Horrible mistake in hindsight.

My absolute favorite game is Splinter Cell, Metal Gear is also good. Tactical espionage stealth games are my favorite genre's.

I have an original Metal Gear solid disc set from original Playstation. It's not in mint condition, but looks pretty good. Think it's worth anything on Ebay? It's not a special edition.

Ehh, it was alright but trying to control your team solo is a nightmare. I didn't get a chance to play multiplayer.

I lol'd. I like video games but I would say that the stereotype is *generally* true for gamers. I have friends that are still serious gamers and they havent really grown up. I know this isn't 100% true but even in this thread, you see that most people stopped being addicted when their life took off.

Thanks for the offer, man, I might take you up on that offer real soon! I just always had a problem with the fact that every time I price one out, something better is out before I add everything to my cart lol. Ideally I'd like to put something together that can easily handle max settings (4k or better) for the latest shooters and be easily (budget-wise) upgradable for future games. After pricing things here and there, $800 sounds pretty reasonable until I start to think about how I can put an XboneS in the rest of the rooms in my house. Like I said, I just need to nut up haha.

I really liked the TCGRW beta and I'll probably pick a copy up next week, but the friendly NPC's were fuckin' reckless morons! I'd love to run it with a few buddies.
