    I don't have a Dell M4700. I have a M4500 & M4600. Glad it seems to be working for you.

    I'm finding the last sentence confusing... are you saying that it is good to go or it doesn't see the hdd?

    If that latter, what error(s) do you get? Have you checked BIOS settings?

    I Had a couple beers at that point.


    I was able to get all the ram recognized finally using my old hard drive.

    When I run the boost disc it does not show any available drives. Sea gate doesn't have a driver online I can find for it.

    I am going to see if the bios is detecting it or not this morning after coffee.

    She is finally up and running. 16 gb of ram 1TB of hdd.
    I had to use a sata to USB cable and do a quick format to get the drive visible to the win 10 boot disc.
    My first boot disc was corrupted somehow after I did the initial move from 7 to 10.


    The amusing part was redoing the boot disc and formatting the hard drive with a raspberry pi, it was the only other working computer I had in the house.
