    Default Gender-swapped Clinton/Trump debate

    https://www.nyu.edu/about/news-publi...-reversal.html

This was a surprisingly interesting article. Short version, two liberal professors come up with the idea to try gender swapping parts of the Clinton/Trump debates. They think that it'll confirm their biases, that Trump's behavior wouldn't be tolerated in a woman and male Clinton would be the best ever.

...But they end up finding the opposite, that people empathized more with femTrump and thought maleHillary was "punchable." And the fact that they (and their audiences) admit it is particularly surprising.

Indeed... totally doesn't fit the narrative or agenda. Why must they always make gender an issue? At this point I would gladly invite someone to show me actual, irrefutable evidence that women are somehow less equal than men.

I saw that this morning as well and as you say, the most surprising thing was that they admitted it. Heck, not only admitted that it went counter to their previous bias but they want to tape it and expose more students to it rather than cover it up.

What is so hilarious about the whole thing is that these people flatly refuse to learn anything from this ... even if they've had their views "shaken" or even "changed", they still bring it back around to prop up their foolish preconceptions about sexism. This paragraph in particular:
Many were shocked to find that they couldn’t seem to find in Jonathan Gordon what they had admired in Hillary Clinton—or that Brenda King’s clever tactics seemed to shine in moments where they’d remembered Donald Trump flailing or lashing out. For those Clinton voters trying to make sense of the loss, it was by turns bewildering and instructive, raising as many questions about gender performance and effects of sexism as it answered.

In other words, instead of realizing that Hillary was substantively a bad candidate, they had to decide that their own sexism was clouding their read of the candidates. They're unwilling to admit their political bias (particularly where its clear that their bias is wrong) and will instead blame it on sexism (a sexism they don't actually posses).

Also interesting to see how some audience members had their amygdalas hijacked ("There was a guy two rows in front of me who was literally holding his head in his hands, and the person with him was rubbing his back. ").
Modern liberalism is based on the idea that reality is obligated to conform to one's beliefs because; "I have the right to believe whatever I want".

"Everything the State says is a lie, and everything it has it has stolen.
    -Friedrich Nietzsche

"Every time something really bad happens, people cry out for safety, and the government answers by taking rights away from good people."
    -Penn Jillette

Apparently they live-streamed it originally, so they had to publish it so they could control it.

I want to see the whole thing, but all I could find was a 3 minute clip on it.

Zund, I had the opposite take from the article. The viewers WERE learning that their sexism ran counter to what they thought it was -- that the only reason they thought Hillary was doing well and Trump was doing poorly was their own sexism and that learning experience is what they found so shaking. Learning that Hillary WAS a bad candidate and they were overlooking it because of their sexism is why you had reactions like the idiot who buried his head in his hands.

Having said that, they're still liberals so it will take multiple recurring lessons of this type for any of it to sink in (witness the ongoing temper tantrum from the mainstream media, Hollywood, NEA, etc.).
