On Wednesday I went to Ft. Carson to pick up a milsurp trailer I won in an internet auction.
Not being a military person, the first line I entered was the wrong one, soldier said to enter line-3, since line-2 was going to be closed off.
At about that time, the other cars in line-2 were being directed backwards to enter lines-3,4.
Then a Ft. Carson police car pulls up, blocking the one remaining vehicle in line-2.
At this point, the MP removes the passenger from this vehicle, places her in handcuffs, sits her in the squad car. Other soldier tells the driver if she ever tries to enter the base in the future, she will be arrested for trespassing.
So....is that a common occurrence? Does base security run checks looking for warrants, etc., or are there other things that will get you bounced at the gate?
