Default Not terribly old phone not charging..... Nexus 6?

Have a Nexus 6 iirc. Sad I know. Had it for a bit over a year maybe 2 if time flies by. I know it was already a slightly older release when I picked it up.

I swear this happened early on in owning it, but no charger I plug in is giving it juice. Best I can tell the connector isn't broken inside even after a few failed attempts early on until I got used to the upside down port compared to most phones.

Sucks with a work day ahead and it's my alarm clock and sitting at 15% charge....

Any genius idea's. Leary of restarting in case that takes most of what juice is left.

Use rubbing alcohol and a toothpick on the port?

Does it charge but just not holding a charge? I would say get a new battery from ebay. If you plug it in and it doesn't even show its charging it might be bad. I don't know what to do less installing a plug and that requires soldering. Maybe look at a new phone?

I chuckled a bit when you said your "not terribly old" phone was a year or two old.

If that thing is two years old it's likely time for an upgrade anyways.

Wasnt charging at all. @doc lot of newer phone battery isn't really removable which i hate.

Yearly phone upgrades is insane at the price for good ones are. (Esp lulz i phones) i wait for true generational jump in quality. Even my "old" phone runs all but the craziest games ok.

End of the story though is strangely a restart fixed. How that fixes it accepting a charge seems nutty.

I had one of my phones set up to automatically restart at two in the morning every day.

You wouldn't believe how much better it worked on a daily basis after that.

Does it charge wirelessly? Cause that would indicate the port
