Prior to this year I had shot one rimfire Steel Challenge match (back when Ruger sponsored it--2013?)

Decided to try it--so far i've shot one USPSA match (Ben Lomond), one IDPA match (Cheyenne), one 3-gun (Noco), and one defensive pistol (NCRGC), and have enjoyed them all. Tomorrow I'm going to the Cheyenne Defensive Pistol, and Sunday the USPSA in Pueblo. My goal at the start was to not finish last. At the HPPS (Lomond) briefing, my goal was downgraded to "don't get DQ'd"--I've not finished last in any of my matches yet. Next to last. But not last--I may have beaten an 11 year old and a beginning woman, but hey, I wasn't last!

I hope to try the USPSA at CRC, and Pueblo and CRC Tactical Rifle. I really enjoyed the 3-gun, but that's a steep curve for a beginner who is admittedly not a great shot. I hope to try the SoCo 3 gun, CRC 3 gun, and the Lomond 3 gun, but I don't have the equipment to be in any way competitive in that yet (I'm not trying to blame equipment, but I don't have any sort of shotgun shell carrier yet, and it seems that that's pretty dang necessary. Loading out of a dump bag may cut it at the NoCo match (well, not really, but they're tolerant), but I don't think so at those larger matches.

Back in December, on a lark, i tried to register (and was accepted) for the Resurgence 3 gun in New Mexico in September. So, I better get cracking on becoming a 3 gun competitor.

So far, i've asked people at the matches if they're on Co AR-15, and nobody has been--I know Cha-Lee obviously is, but he's busy doing all the match director stuff during that match. I've met Hoser and MarkCO before. It'd be great to know CO AR15 folks at matches.
