    Default Death by Floormatt

These people actually have time to call the 911 to say the accelerator is stuck and they are doing 120 down the road. Ok WTF is the 911 operator supposed to do for you? Can these people not use what's between their ears?

This actually happened to me once when I was selling my 88 GT mustang that probably had 450 horse power. Guy is test driving the car and I was in the passenger side. He floors it to see how it runs and after a few seconds I say ok buddy let off now. He says that its not him that the gas is stuck. Took me a half second to reach over and turn the key off to keep us from dying. Hmmm....slam the shit out of the brakes...take it out of gear....anything is better than dying

I agree with you 100%. Shutting off the car and hitting the brakes would be my first and only choice. I wouldnt even call 911 at all unless I hit someone or ran them off the road or something.

What prompted the post if you dont mind me asking.

Probably the Toyota recall on floor mats.

I only call 911 when local fast food places are out of chicken.

HA! I remember that video. Those people seemed genuinly distraught over the chicken.

It's more than the Camary, it's like half of the new car fleet. Toyota's biggest recall ever.

Oh. I only heard about the Camry. Can't they just take the floormats out and fix the problem?
