Flippin England. Don't arm their cops. Not much for firepower visible on their streets. Go to Paris, Barcelona, Rome- much different. Nice military/police show of force: belt fed, sub guns, pistols, armoured cars,etc. See them everywhere. Feel mighty safe walking around at midnight in those cities. Pretty cool seeing those French Famas, Italian Berettas, and HK G36 and MG4s on the street. Most I have seen have Aimpoints for optics, a few ACOGs.

I was in London last June & July. All around that section of town I saw cops in full tac gear with some sort of what appeared to be automatic firearms. They wouldn't allow me to take a picture and didn't like me looking to closely at them, so I got barely more than a coursory look and moved on.

I walked across that bridge multiple times and stood to get pics of Parliament right about where the guys vehicle crashed up on the curb. That area was packed with folks when I was there - it was ripe for someone to pull a stunt like this and get mass casualties. Everyplace I go I try to get into the mind of a bad guy and imagine where they might attack for the biggest casualty rate so I can up my awareness level or avoid altogether. This was one of those spots I identified.

Glad I wasn't there today. I'll likely have coworkers there any day; very happy they weren't there today too.
