    Default 100 years ago yesterday....

The United States Declared War on Germany. If you haven't checke it out there's a great Channel on YouTube that only covers WWI. It's called The Great War and it well done and has a lot of information. Don't blame me if you get addictive to it.

also of interest is the entirety of WWI should be enough to end the caliber debate. A few .380s killed more people than anything else.

Great book called The Doughboys. A very good read about how America entered the war.

Reminder: I need to scan in some pics of my paternal grandfather with the US Army Artillery in WWI the next time I visit my folks.

I found out my great grandfather was in ww1 from ancestry.com but I thought his name was a typo from old records or something

I called my dad to ask him details. He didn't know much but confirmed his first name was H, just one letter.

The war to end all war..... I lost 3 Great Uncle, 2 Great grand father to WW1.

Interesting article about the lafayette squadron https://www.nytimes.com/2017/04/05/t...rld-war-i.html

and more interesting, the French "Patrouille de France" (think Thunderbirds) are doing a tour in North America to commemorate the Lafayette squadron. They will fly over the AF academy on April 19th.
