    Default My first AR!!

finally got everything over the weekend and put together, the picture is from iPhone so the quality sucks!! I'll try to take some good pics when I get back home next week, but here it is.

    Spikes Complete lower
    Stag arms 2ht complete upper
    Magpul ASAP
    MagPul XTM rail covers.

    Things to come,
    MagPul ACS stock
    Magpul MIAD grip
    Aimpoint or eotech red dot.

For some reason, when I put the 2 together, if i push the front take down Pin all the way in first, the back one will go in half way. what I do is push the Back take down Pin in first, and then push the front end of the gun toward the back and push the front pin in. anyone else have that trouble? if i want to push the pin out by finger it will get stuck, i gotta use a pen to push it all the way out.

Congrats about your new rifle !!

Seems like upper and lower fitting is too tight. Well, it will be much more loose after couple years of hard use...
Bring it first to someone who knows AR-15 and can tell you it is not binding so much that lower receiver would break during use.

You propably used gunoil to lubricate pivot pins ?
If oil does help but not enough, and it is very close whether you can install pivot pins by fingers, you can test the following : take pivot pins out and polish them with 1000 mesh sandpaper or similar device by hand.
Do not use Dremel, you want to keep those pins round

Used to fix my first own machined upper / lower lot that way and the end result was nearly perfect

I'll try that. I mean it don't bother me too much, and when I push the front pin in after the back is in, it don't take too much strenght. I acutally don't have anyone that knows about ar near me (not that I know of) but I'll try the sanding method.
