2000 yards? I called BS
A friend was talking about a guy he grew up with that he said was amazing with a rifle. The story was that he hit a plastic deer at 2000 yards first try. The claim was that it was a 30-06 bolt action rifle using iron sights. I think at that distance with iron sights the sights would totally obscure the target and more. Outside of luck is this even remotely possible?
I figured as much, I'm guessing the event actually happened but probably was 200 yards. I tried to be nice a bout it but basically told the guy no way in hell. "first shot" lol
Show me a human that can even SEE a deer at 2000 yards!

if you've ever done any shooting at 1000, or beyond, then hear someone make a claim of 2000, or beyond, with open sights, you'll just giggle and move on.
Laws aren't "preventable" measures. IOW, more gun laws won't stop mass shootings.
Maybe if you're shooting at a bright orange bread truck.....
