And there is no proof to back up the claim of being anti-gun, he was given an A rating by the NRA. There are plenty of pro-gun Democrats out there.

Both Bush senior and jr signed anti gun bills and recently they have publicly supported current anti gun agendas. Bush jr said he would have signed the extension of the assault rifle ban if it had landed on his desk.
HW Bush had lunch with Giffords and Kelly a couple weeks ago at the Kennebunkport compound.
