Bodycam footage of DCSO deputy involved shooting the other day
https://www.facebook.com/DouglasCoun...6162438626040/
As many of you already know, Deputy Proulx was involved in a shooting last Friday, May 12th, at approximately 6:45 p.m. in the area of County Line Rd. and Santa Fe in the City of Littleton. A press conference was held this afternoon to release this recording of the deputy’s body camera footage and provide an update on the criminal investigation which is being completed by Littleton Police Department.
Chief Stephens of the Littleton Police Department has identified the suspect as 25-year-old Deyon Marcus Rivas-Maestas.
“The result of this shooting is a testament to the training each of our deputies are provided,” Sheriff Tony Spurlock said, “This just shows how necessary it is for deputies to be able to make split-second decisions, not only for their own protection but for the protection of the community.”
The suspect has been released from the hospital and is currently in our custody at the Douglas County Detentions Center and is being held 0n a $50k bond. Any questions regarding the investigation of this case will be referred to Littleton Police Department.
Talk about quick reaction! Stay safe out there, officers.
I tried to embed the video on there or whatever but it still links back to FB. Maybe someone smarter than me can figure it out. Lol.

Did he try and butt stroke the deputy?

So first he tries to ambush the deputy and then he's whining and crying ... WTF ... can't even be a decent bad guy ...

Yup, I'm very happy that guy didn't know which end to use. Too bad the cop missed the vitals. He did a good job, but should've noticed how the guy was moving around as he approached.
