You already have the barrel so rechamber to 22-250 A.I. I have one and it shoots like a dream, extremely easy to reload and you can light up a dog town while your fire forming brass. I took 300 rounds of 22-250 out and spent an afternoon fireforming brass while eradicating prairie dogs.
Another option in my safe that is my new favorite is the 6x45. .223 necked up to 6mm. I've used it for prairie dogs and coyotes and this fall she will hopefully take an antelope. Again very easy to load and just run .223 brass through the 6x45 resize die and your done.
