Recently saw a huge stack of Garands that the Philippine solders were working on. . One soldier was dragging the Garand by the butt end with muzzle getting scratched /beat up while he was apparently using it like a cane. Appeared they weren’t very particular about proper handling since the Garands were leaving their possession.
Have any of our members received one of these Phillipine return Garands?

I don't think the CMP is advertising that specific rifles are Philippine returns. There is speculation on the CMP board that some of the new M1s being sent out are Philippine with a "Y" on the tag, but no confirmation from CMP employees.

I got this one mid August, I have no idea if it one of the Turk or the Phillipine returns, they don't tell you. Others online seem to think July/August is about when they switched over but who knows, the CMP doesn't tell you anything. It was a WW2 era rifle with most of it's finish and other than some grease on the buttstock that as well was in really good shape. I've been told the buttstock is for an early HRA and fairly rare. No “Y” or any other writing on the back of the tag.

I have a Korean War era M1. It’s in great shape and is a very good shooter. I started making my own handloads for it after shooting up most of the milsurp stuff I had.
Springfield or IHC or H&R? I like 4064 powder with 168 match bullets for my own loads.
Took out my Springfield CMP Special on Saturday. I was impressed with the difference a national match front sight made for my eyes.
