An ETA on those Garands arriving? I'll be at the Noth store at the end of September IF they put them on the floor by then.

Very glad to finally be able to report that I?m not crazy. Member WC Triumph took a look and tried to reassemble with no luck. Ordered a new bullet guide from Fulton and it came in today. It went together easily, first attempt. I?m not crazy after all, but I?m very excited to take it out. I?ve got a crate of Korean ?06 in clips and bandoliers. I?ll clean with soap and water?then normally, afterwards. Thanks, all!

Now enjoy that Garand. They are GREAT rifles. I presume that Korean ammo will be NON-corrosive?

If anyone in the group wants to get together and go and shoot M1 rifles, let me know. I am in Fort Collins and usually shoot at Baker Draw on one of my various midweek days off. Next week I am off on Wednesday. I would love to get together with some of our enthusiastic M1 shooters. I am sure that some of us (me) can learn a lot from the more experienced among us.

Well, Wednesday I am off work (also my 65th b-day) so I am heading out early to do some shooting. First up I will try out and break in the AR that I built today (my first) with a lot of help from Johnny Ego. Then I will do a little shooting with the M1.

Here are two rifles I picked up in a trade last month:

Another M1 rifle, CMP Service Grade, SN is September/October 1955, barrel date 10 - 1955. It shoots perfectly, it is a keeper for sure!

Along with it came the Springfield Model 1898 Krag, made in 1899. This is the one I am trying to get some ammunition for.
