Putting together a 458 SOCOM AR as a pig rifle and looking to keep bullet weights in the 350-400 gr range. No plans to shoot the rifle suppressed. Barrel has a 1:14" twist.
I picked up Buffalo Bore's 350gr JFN and 405 Hard Cast ammo for hunting rounds, but we'll see how it shoots out of the AR. Also picked up from Black Butterfly Berry plated rounds as target loads and their 350gr Barnes TSX, as another hunting option. Don't know much about Black Butterfly ammo, but limited reviews I've read seem to indicate it is quality ammo.
I don't plan on reloading this caliber but that may change if I spend a lot of time behind it.
Any others?
