    Thank you, Kid

    Nice post, Hurley.

The WWW has certainly increased the ease in which, to collectively brainwash weak minded and misguided individuals who are looking for answers to personalized strife mixed with misplaced emotion masked in fabricated agenda mentality. Yeah, wordy, I know.

    Just throwin it out there.

    Quoted from Theresa May:
Second, we cannot allow this ideology the safe space it needs to breed. Yet that is precisely what the internet – and the big companies that provide internet-based services – provide. We need to work with allied, democratic governments to reach international agreements that regulate cyberspace to prevent the spread of extremism and terrorist planning. And we need to do everything we can at home to reduce the risks of extremism online.
She's such a fool & a tool. It wasn't online extremism that killed 6 people and injured many more last night. Even if you remove the ability to use the internet, these people will use cell/landline phones and in person meetings (even if they have to just meet 2 or 3 at a time who then each meet with another 2 or 3 people). You gonna ban all telephone communications lady? See kidicarus' quoted post below. They'll find any means necessary to mean their goals.

    Well stated.

241 years ago the British TRIED to stop the spread of our Revolution by stopping large gatherings. We spread the word through small groups who met with other small groups and so on. They TRIED to control our access to firearms which we used to fight against them, but we found a way around that as well. The Brit's have forgotten the lessons from that war and are dealing with the same type of enemy measures again. FOOLS never learn from history.

Another wonderful opinion from Mike Rowe, God bless the celebrities with sense, and the courage to stand up for what they believe in.

Yesterday, in the wake of another attack on our civilization, I found myself doing the same thing I always do – flicking back and forth between cable news channels, looking for facts. Then, I began to hear an expression repeated that I hadn’t heard before; a mantra that British citizens are now being encouraged to employ when confronted with terrorism. The mantra is “Run, Hide, Tell.” The more I heard it repeated, the more I found myself asking my television “what the bloody hell is happening here?”

Once upon a time, my Scoutmaster was very concerned that I would find myself engulfed in flames. In the event of such a disaster, he told me to “Stop, Drop, and Roll.” This turned out to be excellent advice for two very important reasons. First of all, it works. Unless you’re able to jump into a nearby body of water, your best hope of putting out a fire on your person is to smother it by rolling around on the ground. Secondly, “Stop, Drop, and Roll” is good advice because it's counterintuitive. When you’re on fire, your immediate urge is to run. But of course, you can’t outrun the flames. Running only makes the flames burn hotter. It gives the fire more air, which it craves.

No - I’m not about to suggest that running and hiding from terrorists is bad advice – I’m just saying I’m very grateful that not everyone takes it. I’m grateful that some people run toward the danger, and not away from it. And no – I’m not talking only about first responders; I’m talking about civilians who do that which is counterintuitive. I’m talking about Todd Beamer and the other guys who tried to take back the cockpit of Flight 93. I’m talking about the guys on that train in France who charged an armed lunatic and saved countless lives. I’m talking about the shopkeeper yesterday, who held the door shut, even as men with knives tried to barge into his restaurant.

I’m not blaming anyone who runs from armed killers, bent on murder. That would certainly be my instinct, and I strongly suspect I’d give in to it when the chips are down. But really – what is it we should be telling our people to do when confronted with evil? Run from it? Hide from it? Is this really the way to strengthen our collective resolve?

Yesterday, when I could take no more, I watched one of my favorite documentaries, about one of my favorite people. It’s called “Winston Churchill – A Giant in the Century. It made me feel better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xhYoyCWxBg4

Then, this morning, I found this cartoon on my wall, and realized, as usual, I’m not alone.

Did the Internet cause the onslaught of Islamic expansion/cleansing of infidels that expanded all the way into Europe in the 7th and 8th centuries?

Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it.

There is only one message they understand. We must do our best to wipe it off the face of the earth. Beat them back under the rocks they crawled out from under. When they do it again in a couple hundred years, repeat.

    Truth.

Just look at how the Brits lost their right to firearms; the same as what's been happening here. You open the door to regulation in the name of safety. A little incursion here, a little there and before you know it - BAM! Full blown elimination of your rights.

The only way to stop this is outlaw "Islam". Declare it a terrorist organization. Anything else the politicians say or do is worthless. If the pols don't do it, they need to be replace by leaders that will. And they probably won't do it until one of their own is maimed or killed. Your gun is worthless against the suicide bomber. Saying Allhu Akbar deserves a prison sentence and maybe indefinite detention.

We need to stop acting like Islam is a religion and recognize it as the socio-political entity, posing as a religion, that it is.

^this. It's by design that it's touted as a 'religion' so 'free' nations 'have' to accept it.
