Bring it on! Can't wait, not sure how optimistic I am about the Rockies but it's always great seeing the other teams come to town. As much as I hate going in to downtown I do enjoy a nice summer night at the ballpark (I take light rail so getting in and out is pretty painless). A cold beer, a Rocky dog, usually with one of my sons-none of my past girlfriends liked baseball lol-it's a great time. The grandmunchkin got to go to his first game last year when his dad was recognized for his military service and we got club level seats.

I was a fair player through high school, 3rd base, but couldn't hit to save my life lol. Still love the game. I always take my younger son to a game for his birthday. In 2007 we were there when Tulowitzki had his unassisted triple play against the Braves. Memories for life.

I'm think the Rockies will be at least even this year (81 wins - 81 loses) and cautiously optimistic that they will be in the hunt for a wild-card spot into August. Jon Gray and Tyler Anderson can both be front of the rotation pitchers. Tyler Chatwood was amazingly effective on the road last year but didn't pitch so well at home. He is a free agent at the end of this year and might be gone by the trade deadline of the Rockies are not in contention. Chad Bettis came along well last year and had the ability to be a number 3 or 4 starter. Unfortunately, his cancer has relapsed and his future is uncertain. That leaves two starting rotation spots to be filled by rookies. The bullpen should be much better this year with Ottovino returning as the closer and some veteran additions that are expected to be more effective than last years late-inning crew.

The infield should be fine defensively and offensively. I'm confident that Ian Desmond will be fine at first base even though he's never played that position before Spring Training. Blackmon is center field and Cargo in right field will be solid in the field and at the plate. With Dahl injured, the only question is who will play left field - Parra was not good last year and Ramiel Tapia is an interestng but unproven rookie. At catcher, Wolters is strong defensively and Murphy is adequate with the glove and has power.

    Go Rockies!

Sad that the Red Sox won't be in town this year. Do hope the Rockies can turn things around. If not they are just wasting a lot of good, young talent.

Oh & btw, as for Tebow I think they said he has a new gf he was unaware of on last night's news.

The regular season can't start soon enough. I don't have high expectations for the Rockies this year.

I always have high expectations of the Rockies, but usually diminishes as the year goes on and the injuries pile up. But I will still watch most games. I still will not buy a season ticket as I did for 16 years, because of the metal detectors at the stadium. They continue to call me to get me to renew my ticket package purchase. Didn’t go to a game all last year. Downtown is place I don’t go unarmed and parking sucks.

Tebow stinks at baseball. In the game I watched he struck out and hit into two double plays.
