Default In my area, where would I go - Metals trade in

    Hello Good Folks,
Where would I go in the South Springs/Fountain area if I wanted to trade in some metals for cash? I.E. I have some copper bullets (like this: https://store.nwtmint.com/Signature_Copper_Bullets_/) that I would like to turn into cash.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks for your help.

Those have no intrinsic value other than their metal content to anyone but a fellow collector. As with anything, a private sale will get you the most if you can advertise them (CL/trading post, etc) and afford to wait for a buyer.

Metals buyer or even a retailer/pawnshop will rape you below spot on the metal content, because they need some margin to move it. As metal, you're talking $2.55/lb as of today, less 5% or more for selling to a retailer.

If they were silver, I'd be interested. A good friend of mine gave me a 50 bmg turned silver bullet for my 50th b-day present. I hadn't even seen such a thing at the time. These turned copper are pretty cool looking too.

Yup sell em here or cl. Even if you got fifty cents each, you'd be money ahead.

If you're just looking for metal value, try Koscove, just West of downtown: http://www.koscovemetal.com/

Thanks for the replies. Maybe if I get time this week I'll take a few pics and upload them. I don't think it'd be worth more than $200 ish.

    Thanks for the info.

I have had good results with Western Scrap.
On Drennan Industrial Loop near S Academy and Hancock Expressway.
