    Default DL renewal in Arap Co heads up

    I decided to take care of renewing my driver license this morning (still have a bit of time before it expires). Went over to the office in Littleton off Prince to be greeted by a big sign saying all driver license activity is by appointment only effective June 1. Well crap, decided to head over to the state office on County Line just east of Broadway and the line was out the door and down the front of the other shops-holy crap!

    Well came home and I went online and made an appointment for next week. It says 20 minutes for the appointment so I'll keep my fingers crossed that's right. I couldn't renew online this time because I did last. Only allowed to do so every other time. If any of you live in Arapahoe County and have your driver license coming due be aware.

    Apparently they're having computer problems so this is a state wide problem. I hope they get it straightened out since I have to renew mine in August.

    Well I sorta got ripped off. This one is only good for 5 years and the photo is black and white. There oughta be a law...

    Evidently this is the new SOP in Arapahoe County. The Clerk's office says if you want walk in service go to a state office. Can't address other counties and their policies.

    The Arapahoe office in Littleton used to be sweet. Now I dread it just like every other government experience. The dual numbers thing is the worst.

    Last time I renewed mine in Parker, I made an online appt and was in/out in less than 15 mins. Unsure if they have gone appt only.
