    Smart thing he did was stand behind that tree.

    Dumb thing he did was putting explosives in a metal container, adding other accelerants (black smoke and flame), and placing the whole thing at a relatively short range.

    And here we go... That is NOT strictly Tannerite in that explosion. The kid has added other "things". Pure, legitimate name brand "Tannerite" does NOT create fire, basic chemistry. I'm suspecting there is some propane or something similar in that explosion.
