Former U.S. Rep. Gabrielle "Gabby" Giffords of Arizona had a Navy vessel named in her honor during a ceremony at a Mobile, Alabama, shipyard Saturday afternoon.

    16th Ship named for a living person since 1850 and 19th Ship named for a woman.

    Two christenings and 16th named for a living person.
