He's heading back to the doctor on friday for more tests. I'll suggest kidney function tests if they aren't already planned. They did some tests in the ER, didn't find anything.

My wife is very sore from the crash, but step-dad was apparently so completely relaxed during the crash that he's completely fine, no aches, etc.

I'm glad your wife and step dad got away without serious injury. As I'm getting older I do worry about a lapse in concentration or some medical event that might cause an accident and injure my wife or others. Fortunately, I'm healthy and not prone to accidents, but still....

When I read your story I was reminded of when we were faced with a driver heading toward us going the wrong way on I-70 in Debeque Canyon, in the middle of a curve. In the left lane at 70 mph and with a car to my right, I signaled, move right to the shoulder and narrowly escaped death. It was a stark reminder of the fragility of life and how suddenly tragedy can happen.

Yesterday, there was a similar wrong way driver situation on I-70 that didn't turn out so well. It's a hell of a story, prayers for the victims:

Glad your wife and all involved are ok
Having rolled 2, I let you in on a spoiler: It isn't any fun.

Glad all involved are relatively unhurt.

Holy bajeezus. Glad to hear everyone is okay for the most part. Awesome quick thinking on your wife's part.

    Prayers for your family.

Added pic of the resulting damage.

Came to rest more than half way across the grass median in the middle of the highway.
