Seems like it, at least.

Here's something interesting, too: Wife has her Jeep up for sale on CL. At least once a week we get an email from someone offering to trade firearms.

Coincidence? Or have stolen guns become the favored currency for thieves?

In the "olden" days, "technology" items like TVs, Stereos and computers were "hot" items to steal because people were willing to buy them used. But with technology changing so fast and with prices dropping, who wants to buy a 3 year old TV or a 2 year old computer? (Just yesterday I GAVE away our old flat screen 46" TV because the amount of time I'd spend trying to sell it would likely not be worth the $40 - $50 I'd end up with.)

Guns have the advantage of never becoming "obsolete" due to changes in technology.
