    Didn't need to sink it underwater for a year to show me that. The 50-year-old Garand ammunition I fire (which hasn't always been stored in optimal temperature or humitidity conditions) has been enough to show that to me.

    Same here. Some of my mil-surp .30-06 dates to the Korean war and shoots just fine. It is corrosive stuff so I clean my rifle at the range when done shooting. Some of it was on links in 200 round cans, I don't have any idea of the age, shoots just fine.
