While the free AR and bonus points are mighty tempting I'm guessing I likely couldn't make it over the pass without dumping the bike several times or killing my self.

Yea it was everything I had to get the sporty up and over, and it's kinda set up for going off road. My guess is the only way to get a road king up and over would be to chain it behind a Jeep and drag it.
Can we reboot this thread? I can’t figure out where we left off, so here’s a pic with my bike in front of the USMC Memorial.
Remember, this is the memorial to which we (COAR15) donated a chunk of money a few years ago - our nameplate is still there.
Next, post a pic of your bike next to an occupied police car.![]()

What, nobody’s riding yet? Beuller?
Pass plenty, not sure theyd love me riding and taking a selfie in movement.
I don't think the cops would appreciate it, parked or not. I won' say it's dumb but just not a challenge that I'm going to spend any effort on meeting. I'll do something more enjoyable like pulling weeds in the backyard ...![]()
Sounds like a great opportunity for networking with local law enforcement. See parked cruiser > pull up and be friendly > speak with cop > tell him about the site and show him the thread > get pic > gain member!

Had I known I was going to be receiving a ticket for 10 over, I'd have snapped a pic on Saturday.
