Home Depot "Seeds" Program

Anyone participate? I got an invitation to join. Basically, once a month you get to choose 5 items (could be anything Home Depot sells) to be shipped to you in exchange for a review. No charge, you keep the items. There were about 2700 items to choose from this month. I'm not sure how you get chosen to participate but I think it's based on the number of item reviews you've done and the number of "Helpful" votes your reviews get. They weren't really clear about that.

Just curious if anyone else participates and, if so, what your experience has been?

I think Amazon has a similar program called "Vine".

HA! I wish. They have some pretty pricey items...mostly bath or kitchen fixtures.

No good tools or anything this time. I did get a nice water cooler (the kind that uses the 5 gal bottles and heats/cools water), a 100' garden hose, a 48" level (been needing a new level for a long time), a bottle of glass cooktop cleaner (Valentine's Day gift for Mrs BG ) and a really nice metal bird feeder. Mostly things we actually needed and/or can use right away.

Any guess on how many reviews you'd written on their site before you were invited?

I'd also guess it isn't just the number, but the quality. Like, "100 people have said this was helpful" or something.

The HD website says I've written 4 reviews. I know for a fact that is wildly inaccurate. It also says I've received 2 "Helpful" comments. I have no way of knowing whether that's accurate or not. I'd have to guess I've submitted over 100 reviews. I also occasionally answer questions from other users of the site regarding products I've reviewed if the answer isn't provided in the product description.

Started to get the items today, just as promised. It's a challenge to write a 350 word review on a box level.
