Photobucket?

As I understand, photobucket doesn't look like a good photo hosting option anymore. They have disabled [img] linking to 3rd party sites unless you pay them almost $400 per year... Their terms have been updated to reflect this. It is yet to be seen of they will back off.

I think I pay $12/month for my website, with my own SSL certificate. I've had it since 2001 or so. It's been well worth the money for me. I don't have to worry about any third party claiming rights to my content or suddenly changing the terms of the product. Something to consider between just shifting to another 'free' photo host and ponying up a couple of hundred a year for Photobucket.

I haven't uploaded a pic to Photobucket in 5 years. I've started using www.imgur.com as their upload process is easier and it's infinitely easier to get share links for pics.

This x eleventy brazillians. Pbucket was great until a couple of years ago. Last year it got the point where I could no longer use it on my home computer, it simply would not load up, kept timing out due to all the stupid animated ads and pop ups. Tried everything including disabling ad blocker - no luck. Every now and then I would get it to upload a picture or two and then it would freeze up again.

By the end of the year I was pretty much only accessing Pbucket at work where the faster connection actually let it load. Even then it was more trouble than it was worth.

I've already deleted my accounts. Since I uploaded from my computer to Pbucket, I have all my photos, so I didn't "lose" anything. As far as Pbucket goes, they can burn in hell for all I care. They took a decent service, made it suck and then had the balls to charge a premium price for their sucky service.
