Also, I gave a sparkler to my son one year when he was five. He played with it for about a minute, said "I'm done with this, Daddy" and then placed it on the hood of my car. In kindergarten, I had to swear to his principal that I had no idea where he picked up all those four letter words.

Lol, forum needs a +1 button. This is kinda what I was meaning at heart. Yes, I hate folk being babies about it, though on the other hand I don't like people being excessive dicks either.

So what some of fireworks landed on neighbors' wooden deck or their propane grill? Yeah few landed on their lamborghinis, and few cried like a puss.
Few bottle rockets "almost" hit a pedestrians eyes.
    Keyword is "almost."

    Fukn kidding me ...right?

When my dog hears fireworks, she runs outside to look for downed birds. Ha. She loves it.

It can be annoying when it's late, but it's no biggie. Yes, they wake my kids. Yes, I lose sleep and have to get up early for work. Life goes on. It's the sound of freedom.

Even worse, I read an article that said fireworks were a major cause for pollution, "could" be the cause for illness due to all the heavy metals they put in the air and people should reconsider supporting their use at all.

When my dog was younger she would go out on the roof and watch fireworks with me..she loves them...i also banged pots and pans over her head when she was a puppy for hunting..she loves guns, fireworks and america! She takes after her father.

My parents dog however when i was growing up was a sissy. Dog ran away the night of the 4th. Found it a mile from the house on the 7th (grew up in the country) dog slept for 2 full days..guessing it dodged lots of cars and coyotes..

Heard 5 legit gunshots amongst the fireworks last night in town..gotta love that.

Ah, the one time a year society cares about Vets.

It's just an excuse to complain about something. I also think the people that call the police for this are ridiculous. The police are well aware that people are shooting illegal fireworks.

Please, they also care about vets on Memorial Day and Veterans day, when they have the big sales so Vets can afford to buy TVs and stuff on our disability pensions.

Well said. I permanently left my Facebook Neighborhood Watch page yesterday. Been tons of bitching over every percieved minor transgression but nobody steps up for the real stuff. What finally capped it was the 10 individual posts with tons of comments in each about illigal fireworks; one person even identifying an offenders address (2 doors down from me) and how they were dressed and stating she'd called the police.

I love fireworks but won't spend the money on buying any these days (especially since I'd have to drive to Wyoming to get any good stuff). All I ask is that the shooting them off stops by 11pm and none of the debris gets in my yard or on my cars. I figure that's fair enough.

There is a fire ban in Boulder Co and Gilpin Co.

Had a friend's neighbor lose a house to fireworks, in Lakewood, on Friday morning. Melted the side of the friend's house. Go ask how they feel about fireworks

I love fireworks and grew up shooting them at the lake. We never shot them off in town though. Haven't bought any in years. I'll go to the fireworks shows though.
