Hundreds of voters un-register after Trump voter fraud panel demands info

Hundreds of voters are responding to the possibility their information will be shared with President Trump's election integrity panel by withdrawing their voter registration, according to a Friday report.

In Colorado, one of the states that is complying with part of the commission request, two clerks have seen a significant increase in voters withdrawing their voter registration, Denver's ABC affiliate reported.

In Denver, one clerk has seen a 2,150 percent increase in people withdrawing as voters over the past since July 3 compared to the first non-holiday week before.
Colorado allows voters to withdraw online or make their information confidential by paying a fee.

The Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity last week requested all 50 states to upload publicly available voter information to a federal website. The information requested, in a letter signed by Vice Chair Kris Kobach, includes voter names, birth dates, the last four digits of Social Security numbers and party affiliation.

Colorado Secretary of State Wayne Williams is releasing publicly available voter information including full name, address, party affiliation and date the person registered, phone number, gender identity, birth year and voting history.

The state will not provide Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, full date of birth or email addresses.

A majority of states are refusing to supply all or part of the information the commission requested.

Based on current voter participation, that means 3 people withdrew.

So, out of nearly 140,000,000 people who voted there are literally hundreds of people unregistering? I'm too stupid to do the math but I'm guessing that's a very low percentage.

Wasn't there something in the news about Colorado voter information being openly available already?

Exactly what information Colorado is, and is not, giving to Trump's voter fraud commission

    OK Colorado, listen up.

Colorado is not going to send any voter information to the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity that you, me or any candidate or campaign can't already get.

The commission asked Secretary of State Wayne Williams for "publicly-available voter roll data" even though some of the specifics listed include information protected by Colorado law.

Williams has said his office will oblige, just like it would for anyone else asking for similar data, but it will not give out protected information.
    This is what is public:

    • Full name
    • Address
    • Year of birth
    • Voter affiliation
    • How often you've voted

Who you voted for is not even known by the Secretary of State's Office.

Colorado law prohibits certain information from being shared at all.

"24-72-204 (8) (a) A designated election official shall not allow a person, other than the person in interest, to inspect the election records of any person that contain the original signature, social security number, month of birth, day of the month of birth, or identification of that person, including electronic, digital, or scanned images of a person's original signature, social security number, month of birth, day of the month of birth, or identification."

The state has a "confidential voter" program that allows you to restrict your address from being shared, but it requires you to sign an affidavit saying that you are concerned about being criminally harassed or facing bodily harm. If you are found to have lied, you could face perjury charges. Confidential voter affidavits are filled out through your county clerk.

Domestic violence victims can apply though a state program to essentially be issued a phantom address.

See our full report from Marshall in the video above.
Maybe some are de-registering as a form of protest. Whoopty.

Lets hope the pot induced short-term memory loss causes all these Democrats ('cause you know this isn't being done by R's) to forget to register in time for the mid-terms.

Voter Registration can be done through election day

Per registration website: "You may register to vote by appearing in-person at a voter service and polling center through Election Day."

So, I guess you could pop up, walk in, register, vote, and then un-register the next day??

I'm sure the pop up, walk in, register and vote is de rigeur. Vote early, vote often.

Voting is very important for Democrats... don't let anything get in the way of voting for the (D)... not your legal status in this state or country, not even death...

So I wonder how many of these people that unregistered are people that live in town but also have second homes up in the mountains where they are also registered?
