The CPW issued a first box to me several years ago. I've since bought more through Midway.

I find that I'm able to get off one and sometimes two rounds before the bear runs out range. You want to hit them in the hind quarters, and the pellets that hit will drop off right there. Now I'm loading one rubber buckshot, two double ball rounds for extended range, then an OO buck and two magnum slugs in case the bear runs the wrong direction.
