Default Installing a heat pump, need an HVAC guy

It's finally time to cool the house down, per She Who Will Be Obeyed. We're looking at adding a heat pump to the house. We have forced air and a good furnace system so it makes more sense than just adding a/c.

I'm buying everything online and want to do as much of the prep work as I can. I've already done this with our propane furnace, water heater, and standby generator. The savings are huge compared to buying locally. Would like to support the home team but it's literally thousands of dollars difference per appliance and they often didn't offer what I wanted. Results so far have been excellent.

I can do a fair amount of the prep running the lines, installing platform, etc. Somewhat comfortable with electric to get it ready but anything to do with 220 and the main box scares the crap out of me. The final connection has to be done by a certified HVAC person so we get the full 10-year warranty. Want this done by early August before she changes her mind. Location is a bit west and north of Boulder. Any recommendations?

I did much of the electrical for my recent central air install. Running 220 is simply running two 110 lines, and when connecting them, connecting them to both sides of a 220 breaker... nothing different that just connecting 2 110 lines to a tandem breaker. The electrical should terminate in a disconnect box near the heat pump, with a flexible power whip from the disconnect box to the pump.

Can't help on an AC guy, mine stays down in the SW denver area.

My brother does HVAC. Not sure if he services Boulder or not but you could check and see. He is super busy right now but since you are not in a hurry I am sure he could schedule you out. I will text him and let him know to expect a call.
