    Default Any makers on the forum? Recently got a a 3d printer

    Anyone else have a 3d printer? I picked up a robo3d +plus a couple weeks ago and have been playing with it.

    Here is my funnest print so far a model steam wobbler engine


    i printed everything except 3 bolts that hold things together

    I designed it in Inventor and printed on a Fortus 250 in ABS.

    I am testing different free cad programs and blowing off the cob webs. I did spring for simplify 3d as the slicer made a huge difference in print quality.

    I totally want one but keep telling myself I have nothing legit to make, so I'd just be making toys and goofy stuff.

    You can be creative and just make stuff you would like designed better or things that require special fixtures for your wild ideas. A few thing I've designed and printed over the years.

    Metal detector....where?





    Trigger Jobs in assembled position.





    Mag Holders used in a few classes.





    Nitrous Waste-gate hanger for 4 Solenoids over my A/C Line.





    Tweeter mounts for my son's Subaru.



    CCV Oil vapor seperator for race truck.
