Keep in mind, 1-99.9999% is mildly interesting. There's a world of differnce between 99.9999 and 100%.

So if you think you'll get 92.4% of the effect with a 92.4% eclipse, you're wrong.

We need to start spreading rumors about some sort of biblical apocalypse on the 21st so people will freak out when the sky goes dark.

No need to do that. There's numerous people and religious orgs who might be sampling some jim jones jungle juice, that day.

That reminds me of the 39 Heaven's Gate cult suicides in '97 during the passing of the Hale Bop Comet.

So...who's cutting their nuts off and buying new Nikes for the eclipse?

Am I the only one that thinks folks traveling to see a sure thing 100% eclipse aren't considering weather conditions?

Man, if this rain keeps coming there's going to be a lot of disappointed folks. I'm planning on walking outside and checking it out, but won't be devastated if it's cloudy. Yeah, it'll still get dark for 2 minutes. Whoopee!

I am hoping for a clear Colorado day to see it though.
