Saw some clickbait-y article the other day that said that the Senate was "6 votes away" from "impeaching" Trump.

I wanted to go into the comments section and point out that the power of impeachment rests in the House of Representatives, but then I realized I just didn't care enough to do that. It is funny though.

I have a few lefty family members who are facebook friends and every now and then they post one of these "impeachment fantasy" articles. They're equal parts funny and sad.

"Is this latest action of Mr. Trump enough for impeachment?"

It may no longer be a matter of if, but when. But, then Mr. Clinton taught us that impeachment is not the same as conviction.

Constitution is nullified by the judicial branch, and has been for hundreds of years, illogical precedential opinions have been written going back to the early 1800's, with appointed judges covertly re-writing amendments to the exact opposite of their plain language, and to protect the state as opposed to the people. Our system of government is more akin to a middle age society than any modern institution.

It isn't democrats, republicans, or any modern issue. It boils down to an archaic judicial system that is no better than that of the 1400's.

Case in point: the 11th Amendment. Still appears as it's original text. Secretly rewritten starting in the 1800's to protect your State from You - immunizing it and all of it's employees from everything, even constitutional violations. You wouldn't know that, reading the amendment though. The text of the Bill of Rights is historical. The texts the justices have "corrected" for the bill of rights exists only within incredibly expensive law books; not in textbooks.

I put judicial activism under the umbrella of Liberalism. And it isn't surprising that said Liberals would elevate the state (collective) above the individual citizen exempting it as a sacred entity from our laws (and even reason at times).

Some people think Liberalism is gay marriage and abortion. It's been going on for a long time... The 16th and 17th Amendments were especially damaging.

Interesting that for Leftists, Clinton denying a citizen due process or a fair trial for political convenience was NOT a high crime or misdemeanor but Trump tweeting things they don't like, telling the truth about Antifa and BLM, or enforcing the law as written apparently is.
