Question , Why Otis, or better yet, why remain in CO?
30 yr mortgage, we're considering a 5 or 7 yr ARM. Putting down $25-40% then paying off balance of mortgage once current home sells. Way before the note is due. OR do a refi year 4

Otis looks like a quiet affordable place and there's a couple of places that caught my attention. Remain here because of my son and friends. Unfortunately I don't have those kind of funds for a down payment. Whatever I manage to get for this mobile will be my down and moving expenses I hope.

That's unfortunate and it happens to most of us. I'm looking at doing the same in a few years. At least we are not tied to Kolorado except by PERA. Good luck and good hunting!

Well damn Murhy's Law. I had no idea that my United Health Care Medicare Advantage plan may not be good everywhere, the zip code for Otis,CO isn't in their plan. I'd have to drop my plan and go regular Medicare and pay for a supplemental plan with benefits that I get for free now. That was an eye opener !!! Ticks me off that I'd be 14 miles from Yuma Medical Center and it's in another zip code and county and not in network. So I guess my house hunt is narrowed down to access with my current plan.
