It was the finger grooves that turned me off to the Glock, my hand just did not fit the grip. I have tried other polymer pistols and still don't own one. I have been wanting to try the M&P 2.0 and the Ruger American, now maybe I will be able to get along with a Glock.

    Just shot both.

Nice gun, shoots like a Glock.

The finish is beautiful and silly hard, but they gotta do something about it. It's just too damn slick.

If you haven't caught the gun press bukkake, I noticed:
    Ambi slide release
    Nice without finger grooves
    G42 style safety plunger
2 pin design.. again... interestingly, saw some slide peening sorta developing on the range guns, 200 rounds in.
Streamlined slide at muzzle.. hopefully this doesn't lead to more NDs from the "Power Reholster" crowd.

On second thought, for those that've taken the ECQC course... the slide slickness could be nice. Just add a grip spider to the back.

I really like gen4. Having a large mag release got me.
I hope gen5 will make used gen4 market somewhat softer for me to pickup more glocks.

Not really a Glock fan. I have two. A gen 3 20 and gen 4 19. Can't say the finger grips ever bothered me. Nice to see them go away anyway. Will stay interested as long as the base grip angle is close to that of the 1911.

Finger grips on a 1911 bother the hell out of me. Anything with Hogue grips gets changed out immediately.

The ambi slide release is nice but what about am ambi mag release? Not getting caught up in the finish.

You can still switch it to Southpaw like on the Gen4.

I think a true ambidextrous magazine release on the Glock would likely have necessitated a new magazine design. Putting out a new model that no longer took the standard magazine would have been a bad move.

I'm not looking to buy one but I am curious if they had any to purchase or was it just a few demo guns?

Centennial had at least a dozen of em for sale. $659. $710 OTD, as I recall. Too rich for my blood.
