Basically, some scientists gave drugs to a bunch of Germans to see if they would be nicer to refugees and it looks like it worked. Then they gave people drugs and guilt (by telling them everyone else was more generous) and the participants were even nicer to refugees.

The result was astounding. "Now, even people with negative attitudes towards migrants donated up to 74 percent more to refugees than in the previous round,"
