    The blacksmith I bought my Anvil from told me the Trenton's are very good, consistent top plate hardening, great rebound. He's been blackmithing for 30+yrs, bought sold countless anvils... He makes his living banging on a 240lb Trenton.

    So, cleaning this thing up I found a weight stamp, 155, and a serial number, A20126. From looking at the book it appears this was made in 1901, possibly as early as 1899. Great ring to it still. I'm happy with it.
