    Default Fantasy Football

    Can someone explain the obsession with this fantasy football? What is so "fantasy" about having a "fantasy football team"? Everyone at work these last few weeks are talking about this, and I have yet to understand why this matters. Am I just a dork for not understanding and caring?

    I wouldn't say you are a dork for not being into fantasy football, anymore than I'd call you a dork for not being into magic the gathering or Pokemon (okay, if you are into the latter, you are a dork), it's just something people enjoy doing, I've heard it's fun, and have no reason to believe otherwise if you are into that sort of thing, I'm not, nor do I have time to be.

    I'm into it. Fantasy, is the idea of assembling the "best" player at their respective position into one team. There's more that but you get the idea. It only matters if you're a part of it, or if you let it bother you. I enjoy it and will continue to do it for the foreseeable future. Plenty of football fans that aren't into fantasy, and plenty that are that aren't into the season for any particular team. Again, to each their own.

    Fantasy Football is dungeons & dragons for guys that used to beat up guys that played Dungeons & Dragons.
