Default Colorado Rifle Club 600 yard Mid Range Prone and F Class Saturday September 30

Just a reminder. Saturday September 30, show up at 8:30 am, we usually wrap up by 2:30 pm or so.

www.crci.org and go to EVENTS then scroll down to September 30 and you will find the 600 yard Mid Range Prone F Class and AR Tactical match. Its a hyperlink, if you click on it, you will pop up the match program and entry form.

We average 30-35 shooters per month, half are sling, and the other half are F Class; and always have 3-5 newbies each time, and new guys are welcome.

Questions, email Ron Burgy ron.burgy@coloradoclass3.com and I will answer within a day. Hope to see you there.

Hello Ron, I have a technical question about the rear bag. One of mine, a leather rabbit-ears type which I use for accurate load development, is filled with lead shot. I've been told that it is not acceptable for competition use due to the lead filling. Is this correct?

I shoot F-TR with an AR scoped rifle on a bipod.

    See you on Saturday!

What kind of equipment does one need/want for these? (I'm new to the AR world)

Personally, I use very little equipment. Just my scoped AR with a bipod, a rear bag and a shooting mat. The only thing I had to do is remove the muzzle brake, as they are prohibited because they bother adjoining shooters. Almost everyone else uses bolt action rifles.

All shots are from the prone position at a constant 600 yard distance.

And it's only 25 books to shoot?

Yes. There are small cash prizes. I shot two matches and won three or five bucks each. Not sure how I did that, but they gave a little cash.
