Default Open carry in church in Denver?

Does anyone know if one can open carry inside a church that's in Denver city limits? I would consider conceal carrying into church then converting over to open when I have to make myself look prettier.

If you are already carrying concealed, why on earth would you go open once in church, I guess I'm missing the whole "look prettier" thing. Do you carry to protect yourself or to look pretty?

Easier access to firearm. Of course I would ask about it first but I am curious if I should even try.

I don't think this got much press attention.

Learn to draw from concealment faster and safer. I'm only guessing that open carry in a church won't go over well. People are there to worship and enjoy church. You will be a MAJOR distraction. Just bad form dude.

Dunno why that would be. If the church wasn't in Denver I wouldn't think twice as its fully legal to open carry and I would carry a service pistol. Denver on the other hand is a different story. Why should people at church care? Pastor is former marine corps, etc.

Depends on your church. In Denver, you’re probably right on. At the rural church I used to be a member of, people would openly carry.

I would 'conceal carry' the service pistol from the car to the church in a paddle pretension holster then tuck in my shirt. Just not sure if Denver itself could somehow screw with me. I'm currently not well setup to tuck carry.

Why are you not set up for concealed carry? Pants too tight? Have to keep shirt tucked and can't wear a jacket?

I have been carrying concealed w/ one of HBARleatherneck's OWB g43 high ride holsters while wearing a suit jacket. I'm not a big guy and it's not noticeable at all. Very comfortable.

Open carry is optimal for speed, granted. But painting yourself as a target for first engagement of an active shooter negates that imo. Just learn to draw from an open suit jacket.

This is the g43 one he made that I've been carrying:

Join their security team. If they don't have one, talk to the pastor about starting one. Go to JeffCo's Security in Faith summit to learn about church security from many folks who have been doing it a long time. Then, if you're officially on the security team, you can create standards about open carry along with the church leadership.

But I can tell you, even the trained armed security at the mega churches in town carry concealed.

Ever see an air Marshall open carry? Why should the people on a plane care? Same kinda thing...
