    I'm not saying that at all. Hell, I even match the color of my watches to the color of my belt buckles. What I'm saying is that if your goal is 'pretty', then you're wearing the gunleather that needs to be seen rather than concealed. The same type of gunleather that would carry a fine looking BBQ gun.

    A Court gun and Church gun are the same thing. They're more understated and more closely related to a service piece, without the wear marks. This gun only gets used on special days. The leather carrying a Church gun should match and look nice. You need to look like you have your shhhhtuff together, but you're not being ostentatious.

    For those that don't understand the reference;

    Court guns and BBQ guns.

    A gun and holster for only special occasions is something I must purchase immediately.

    Being from TX I'm gonna have to disagree with a point in the blog piece...

    I don't think the BBQ gun needs to be a revolver. As a matter of fact, the handful of times I've ever attended a function where there were guns being worn, they were almost always very ornate 1911 pistols, usually made by Colt. Revolvers tended to be ornately engraved Model 29s or something similar...an N frame at least. Though a Python would certainly be apropos. And a Taurus? Yeah...I don't think so. Maybe if they're cooking Kansas City style BBQ...and certainly not real Texans.

    True, the revolver is old school. The current trend is the 1911. I found it funny that Wilson Combat actually makes a model specific to the practice; https://www.wilsoncombat.com/wilson-...s-bbq-special/

    I wish I had that kind of coin for something like that, but I don't. Then again, I can't see spending money on something that I wouldn't use often.
