I agree with standard went much lowered and/or admission didn't do their job.
Just look at the recent AF incident.
I just spoke with my son's best friend who is attending West Point. He said unfortunately it's pretty common.
Remember: You've got all those cadets who were nominated by their representative or senator. Remember how many of those representatives and senators are Democrats. Of course they're going to nominate those with communist/socialist sympathies...

Must have been quite the physical specimen to make it to Ranger Batt as an enlistedman, complete a tour (or 2?) with them, and yet, he had to have messed up somewhere to be booted for not meeting standards. And he then somehow makes it to and through West Point.
Well, at least he now gets to count on the self-serving "communists" in America. Now, without the structure of American greatness propping him up, he will get to learn how utterly pointless that milieu is.
