Probably not illegal in Parker (making sure that nothing runs off into the street or sewer), but your neighbors will most certainly complain. And definitely check with the HOA.

I'd throw up some tarps around it to keep the over spray from blowing away. And just do it. Just make sure the spray stays in your yard.

Normally HOA regulate that stuff. And if you live on the East Slope, reasonable probability you may have an HOA that dictates what ply of TP to use. If you live in highlands ranch, they dictate which direction to put the roll too.

Running afoul of an HOA is honestly worse than breaking most laws. So really check that.

I've been living in Highlands Ranch for over 20 years. Never been told how many ply or which direction the roll had to go. They must be slipping.

I’m guessing the OP isn’t looking to paint a car in his driveway but rather looking to see if his dipshit neighbors are braking any laws by doing so.

I have no real answer but would be surprised if there weren’t OSHA or EPA regulations regarding painting a vehicle. Obviously, OSHA regs likely wouldn’t apply since it’s not a business but maybe you could unleash the wrath of the EPA on them if everything isn’t up to code.
