I talked to a friend of mine that I'm not super close with the other day and asked what her and her now husband are up to these days. When I met them we all lived in Colorado, but now they live in RI. She said she was working and her husband who was in the Army years ago (you'd never be able to tell) has gotten into community organizing. She said that he and a friend of his put together a group named the socialist rifle organization and they are helping with "local causes". I inquired some more and saw some pictures. Looks like a whole lotta derp. Lots of stupidly dresses dudes with shitty AK's, SKS's third world ammo pouches and such. I was also invited to a group buy they were getting on AR-500 armor. I declined stating that I am no friend to socialists. In my opinion groups like these pose a mild threat but due to their incompetence have a high likely hood of doing some really stupid shit. Showing up places and having ND's and things of that nature.

Their willingness to resort to violence is what bothers me so much about this. Throw in the fact that IF they did something, media would blame the NRA and conservatives and that makes this is a lose-lose situation. On the flip side, at least they are somewhat understanding the importance of the 2a.

The antifa protesters are not what one would call rational, they are the definition of mentally ill, you could use them as the poster children of who should not own firearms. They will open fire on the least provocation and hurt people, probably kill innocents. They will injure and kill LEO too. Useful idiots is right and the leadership that is promoting it will not be held responsible when it happens. Antifa is the aggressor here, not the victim but they will play the victim with the help of the media, blaming you and I for the situation that they created.
